What to See and Do
The Village of Alix has something for all seasons.
Alix Lake, at the end of Main Street, has an 11-site campground, day use area, playground, swimming area, concession and calm water for water-ski and wakeboard enthusiasts.
Enjoy an abundance of water fowl and wildlife watching on the 6 km walking trail along the lake shore starting at Lake Street.
Haunted Lakes Golf Course just 2 kms outside of the Village, offers a challenging nine hole golfing experience. Enjoy a beverage or light lunch at hole 19 in the clubhouse or stay at the campground.
Winter sports include hockey, figure skating, and public skating at the indoor arena and three sheets of ice at the curling rink.
Youth are encouraged to enjoy the fellowship and activities at the Alix Youth Center on Railway Avenue.
Younger children and their parents interact at the Community Hall weekly at Time for Tots.
Three playgrounds are located in residential areas throughout the Village.
Seniors can enjoy an afternoon at the Drop-in Centre on Main Street, where there is always something in the works, from visiting and coffee to jig-saw puzzle building, crib games and a very well used pool table.
